My main tool for reading charts is candlestick reading, something that I don't' mention frequently.

The patterns, the indicators, the volume...
Most of it is done for you, for your own learning/entertainment, it is done mainly for fun.

But if you want to predict a market...
If you want to read any/and all charts...

I suggest you do some research/read/learn/understand how candlestick reading works.
