The performance, is up to 3% better by trading the inverse of the intention of the etf.
You could also stick to one or the other so you could easily inverse if the stock moves the wrong way.
CFDs are still king, but Alberta doesn't allow CFD trading.

You can get significantly more leverage by using SQQ, not only is the ETF lower price per share, but you can also get double margin on shorts vs longs. In most brokers.
