This indicator scans H1 timeframe for specific technical patterns. Here's how each pattern is detected:
PATTERN DETECTION CRITERIA:
1. Hammer
- Body Size: ≤ 30% of total candle length
- Lower Wick: > 50% of total candle length
- Upper Wick: < 20% of total candle length
- Formula:
* bodySize = |close - open|
* upperWick = high - max(open, close)
* lowerWick = min(open, close) - low
* totalLength = high - low
2. Shooting Star
- Body Size: ≤ 30% of total candle length
- Upper Wick: > 50% of total candle length

3. Outside/Inside (OI)
Checks three consecutive bars:
- Outside Bar: Bar2 high ≥ Bar3 high AND Bar2 low ≤ Bar3 low
- Inside Bar: Bar1 high ≤ Bar2 high AND Bar1 low ≥ Bar2 low
Pattern confirms when both conditions are met
4. Bullish/Bearish Umbrella
Checks two consecutive bars:
Bullish:
- Current bar's high ≤ previous bar's high
- Current body high ≤ previous bar's high
- Current body low ≥ previous body high
Bearish:
- Current bar's low ≥ previous bar's low
- Current body low ≥ previous bar's low
- Current body high ≤ previous body low
5. Three Bar Triangle (3BT)
Checks three consecutive bars:
- Current bar's high ≤ max(previous two highs)
- Current bar's low ≥ min(previous two lows)
- Indicates price compression
DISPLAY AND ALERTS:
- Patterns are displayed in real-time in the table
- Multiple patterns can be detected simultaneously

ka66: Candle Range MarkThis is a simple trailing stop loss tool using bar ranges, to be used with some discretion and understanding of basic price action.
Given a configurable percentage value, e.g. 25%:
A bullish bar (close > open) will be marked at the lower 25%
A bearish bar (close < open) will be marked at the upper 25%
The idea is to move your stop loss after each completed bar in the direction of the trade, at the configured percentage value.
If you have an inside bar, or something very close to it, or a doji-type bar, don't trail that, because there is no clarity of what the bar means, we can only wait.
The chart shows an example use, with trailing at 10% of the bar, from the initial stop loss after entry, trailing till we get stopped out. Some things to note:
Because this example focuses on a short trade, we ignore the bullish candles, and keep our trailing stop at the last bearish candle.
We ignore doji-esque candles and inside bars, where the body is in the range of the prior candle. Some definitions of inside bars include the wicks as well. I don't have a strong opinion, and this example is just for illustration. Furthermore, the inside bar will likely be the opposite of the swing bars (e.g. bullish bar in a range of bearish bars), so our stop remains unchanged.
One could use this semi-systematic approach in scalping on any timeframe, for example to maximise gains, adjusting the bar percentage as needed.
Fractal Trend Detector [Skyrexio]Introduction
Fractal Trend Detector leverages the combination of Williams fractals and Alligator Indicator to help traders to understand with the high probability what is the current trend: bullish or bearish. It visualizes the potential uptrend with the coloring bars in green, downtrend - in red color. Indicator also contains two additional visualizations, the strong uptrend and downtrend as the green and red zones and the white line - trend invalidation level (more information in "Methodology and it's justification" paragraph)
Features
Optional strong up and downtrends visualization: with the specified parameter in settings user can add/hide the green and red zones of the strong up and downtrends.
Optional trend invalidation level visualization: with the specified parameter in settings user can add/hide the white line which shows the current trend invalidation price.
Alerts: user can set up the alert and have notifications when uptrend/downtrend has been started, strong uptrend/downtrend started.
Methodology and it's justification
In this script we apply the concept of trend given by Bill Williams in his book "Trading Chaos". This approach leverages the Alligator and Fractals in conjunction. Let's briefly explain these two components.
The Williams Alligator, created by Bill Williams, is a technical analysis tool used to identify trends and potential market reversals. It consists of three moving averages, called the jaw, teeth, and lips, which represent different time periods:
Jaw (Blue Line): The slowest line, showing a 13-period smoothed moving average shifted 8 bars forward.
Teeth (Red Line): The medium-speed line, an 8-period smoothed moving average shifted 5 bars forward.
Lips (Green Line): The fastest line, a 5-period smoothed moving average shifted 3 bars forward.
When the lines are spread apart and aligned, the "alligator" is "awake," indicating a strong trend. When the lines intertwine, the "alligator" is "sleeping," signaling a non-trending or range-bound market. This indicator helps traders identify when to enter or avoid trades.
Williams Fractals, introduced by Bill Williams, are a technical analysis tool used to identify potential reversal points on a price chart. A fractal is a series of at least five consecutive bars where the middle bar has the highest high (for a up fractal) or the lowest low (for a down fractal), compared to the two bars on either side.
Key Points:
Up fractal: Formed when the middle bar shows a higher high than the two preceding and two following bars, signaling a potential turning point downward.
Down fractal: Formed when the middle bar has a lower low than the two surrounding bars, indicating a potential upward reversal.
Fractals are often used with other indicators to confirm trend direction or reversal, helping traders make more informed trading decisions.
How we can use its combination? Let's explain the uptrend example. The up fractal breakout to the upside can be interpret as bullish sign, there is a high probability that uptrend has just been started. It can be explained as following: the up fractal created is the potential change in market's behavior. A lot of traders made a decision to sell and it created the pullback with the fractal at the top. But if price is able to reach the fractal's top and break it, this is a high probability sign that market "changed his opinion" and bullish trend has been started. The moment of breaking is the potential changing to the uptrend. Here is another one important point, this breakout shall happen above the Alligator's teeth line. If not, this crossover doesn't count and the downtrend potentially remaining. The inverted logic is true for the down fractals and downtrend.
According to this methodology we received the high probability up and downtrend changes, but we can even add it. If current trend established by the indicator as the uptrend and alligator's lines have the following order: lips is higher than teeth, teeth is higher than jaw, script count it as a strong uptrend and start print the green zone - zone between lips and jaw. It can be used as a high probability support of the current bull market. The inverted logic can be used for bearish trend and red zones: if lips is lower than teeth and teeth is lower than jaw it's interpreted by the indicator as a strong down trend.
Indicator also has the trend invalidation line (white line). If current bar is green and market condition is interpreted by the script as an uptrend you will see the invalidation line below current price. This is the price level which shall be crossed by the price to change up trend to down trend according to algorithm. This level is recalculated on every candle. The inverted logic is valid for downtrend.
How to use indicator
Apply it to desired chart and time frame. It works on every time frame.
Setup the settings with enabling/disabling visualization of strong up/downtrend zones and trend invalidation line. "Show Strong Bullish/Bearish Trends" and "Show Trend Invalidation Price" checkboxes in the settings. By default they are turned on.
Analyze the price action. Indicator colored candle in green if it's more likely that current state is uptrend, in red if downtrend has the high probability to be now. Green zones between two lines showing if current uptrend is likely to be strong. This zone can be used as a high probability support on the uptrend. The red zone show high probability of strong downtrend and can be used as a resistance. White line is showing the level where uptrend or downtrend is going be invalidated according to indicator's algorithm. If current bar is green invalidation line will be below the current price, if red - above the current price.
Set up the alerts if it's needed. Indicator has four custom alerts called "Uptrend has been started" when current bar closed as green and the previous was not green, "Downtrend has been started" when current bar closed red and the previous was not red, "Uptrend became strong" if script started printing the green zone "Downtrend became strong" if script started printing the red zone.

The strategy is designed specifically for the 1-minute timeframe. If the current chart is not on the 1-minute timeframe, a warning label is displayed on the chart instructing the user to switch to the 1-minute timeframe.
Williams %R Conditions :
Buy Condition: The strategy looks for a crossover of Williams %R from below -94 to above -94. This indicates a potential buying opportunity when the market is moving out of an oversold condition.
Sell Condition: The strategy looks for a crossunder of Williams %R from above -6 to below -6. This indicates a potential selling opportunity when the market is moving out of an overbought condition.
Deactivate Buy: If Williams %R crosses above -40, the buy signal is deactivated, suggesting that the buying condition is no longer valid.
Deactivate Sell: If Williams %R crosses below -60, the sell signal is deactivated, suggesting that the selling condition is no longer valid.
MACD Conditions :
MACD Histogram: Used to identify the momentum and the direction of the trend.
Long Entry: The strategy initiates a buy order if the MACD histogram shows a positive bar after a negative bar while a buy condition is active and Williams %R is above -94.
Long Exit: The strategy exits the buy position if the MACD histogram turns negative and is below the previous histogram bar.
Short Entry: The strategy initiates a sell order if the MACD histogram shows a negative bar after a positive bar while a sell condition is active and Williams %R is below -6.

Phaser [QuantVue]The Phaser indicator is a tool to help identify inflection points by looking at price relative to past prices across multiple timeframes and assets.
Phase 1 looks for the price to be higher or lower than the closing price of the bar 4 bars earlier and is complete when 9 consecutive bars meet this criterion.
A completed Phase 1 is considered perfect when the highs (bearish) or lows (bullish) have been exceeded from bars 6 and 7 of the phase.
A bullish setup requires 9 consecutive closes less than the close 4 bars earlier.
A bearish setup requires 9 consecutive closes greater than the close 4 bars earlier.
Phase 2 begins once Phase 1 has been completed. Phase 2 compares the current price to the high or low of two bars earlier.
Unlike Phase 1, Phase 2 does not require the count to be consecutive.
Phase 2 is considered complete when 13 candles have met the criteria.
An important aspect to Phase 2 is the relationship between bar 13 and bar 8.
To ensure the end of Phase 2 is in line with the existing trend, the high or low of bar 13 is compared to the close of bar 8.
A bullish imperfect 13 occurs when the current price is less than the low of 2 bars earlier, but the current low is greater than the close of bar 8 in Phase 2.
A bearish imperfect 13 occurs when the current price is greater than the high of 2 bars earlier, but the current high is less than the close of bar 8 in Phase 2.
Phase 2 does not need to go until it is complete. A Phase 2 can be canceled if the price closes above or below the highest or lowest price from Phase 1.

Rotation Factor for TPO and OHLC (Plot)The Rotation Factor objectively measures attempted market direction(or market sentiment) for a given period. It records the cumulative directional attempts of auction rotations within a given period, thus, helping traders determine which way the market is trying to go and which market participant is exerting greater control or influence.
Theory
The premise is that a greater number of bars auctioning higher contrasted to bars auctioning lower indicates that buyers are exerting greater control over price within the given period(usually daily). In this case, the market is attempting to go higher (Market is Bullish). The same is true for a greater number of bars auctioning lower than higher, which, in this case, indicates that the sellers are exerting greater control over price within the given period and that the market is attempting to go lower (Market is Bearish).
Calculation
Each bar is individually measured in relation to the immediate previous bar, and calculations are reset at the beginning of each period.
For every bar, two variables are utilised: One for the highs and another for the lows. During bar start, these variables are initiated at 0.
As the period progresses, these variables are set accordingly: If the high of the current bar is higher than that of the previous bar, then the bar's highs variable is assigned a "+1". If the opposite is true, it is given a "-1". Finally, if both bar highs are equal, it is, instead, assigned a "0". The same is true for the lows: if the low of the current bar is higher than that of the previous low, then the bar's lows variable is assigned a "+1". Similarly, the opposite is given a "-1", while equal lows causes it to be assigned a "0". All highs and lows are then summed together resulting to a total, which becomes the Rotational Factor.

Description:
The High Volume Bars Detector is designed to help traders identify bars with significantly higher volume than the average. Users can filter in the settings menu:
1) The length of the Simple Moving Average (SMA) for volume, allowing you to define the average volume over a specific number of bars.
2) The Volume Multiplier, a factor that determines how much greater the volume of a bar should be compared to the SMA to qualify as a high-volume bar.
3) The Lookback Period, a specified number of candles used as a comparative benchmark for identifying the highest volume.
4) If the Volume bar is green or red, so if the candle price is --> close > open or open > close
Examples to better understand the logic of the indicator:
1) Length of the Simple Moving Average (SMA) for Volume: This setting allows you to define the average volume over a specific number of bars. For instance, if you set the SMA length to 20, the indicator will calculate the average volume of the past 20 bars and use it as a baseline to identify high volume bars.
2) Volume Multiplier: This is a critical factor that determines the threshold for what constitutes a high-volume bar. If you set the volume multiplier to 2.0, for example, the indicator will flag any bar where the volume is twice the value of the SMA volume as a high-volume bar.
3) Lookback Period: This setting lets you specify the number of candles that the indicator should consider when determining the highest volume. For instance, if the lookback period is set to 14, the indicator will compare the volume of the current bar with the volumes of the previous 14 bars. If the current bar's volume is the highest, it will be flagged.
4) Volume Bar Color: This filter helps you identify whether a high-volume bar is bullish or bearish. If the bar is green (close > open), it suggests buyers were dominant during that period. If the bar is red (open > close), it suggests sellers had the upper hand. By setting this filter, you can choose to focus on high volume bars that are either bullish (green) or bearish (red) or both, depending on your trading strategy.

Polarity Divergences█ OVERVIEW
This indicator looks at the polarity of the intrabars composing a chart bar and fills chart candles orange when a majority of intrabars does not have the same polarity as that of the chart bar.
█ CONCEPTS
Bar polarity
By bar polarity , we mean the direction of a bar, which is determined by looking at the bar's close vs its open .
Intrabars
Intrabars are chart bars at a lower timeframe than the chart's. Each 1H chart bar of a 24x7 market will, for example, usually contain 60 bars at the lower timeframe of 1min, provided there was market activity during each minute of the hour. Mining information from intrabars can be useful in that it offers traders visibility on the activity inside a chart bar.
Lower timeframes (LTFs)
A lower timeframe is a timeframe that is smaller than the chart's timeframe. This script determines which LTF to use by examining the chart's timeframe. The LTF determines how many intrabars are examined for each chart bar; the lower the timeframe, the more intrabars are analyzed. This table shows which LTF is used for each range of chart timeframes:

█ HOW TO USE IT
The idea underlying this indicator is that if the polarity of a chart bar is up or down, the majority of its constituent intrabars should also be up or down. If that is not the case, then we can consider the bar to be abnormal, and so worthy of our attention. You will notice that such anomalies often occur before reversals, but irregularities do not necessarily announce reversals, as they also occur on pauses in trends or in trend-less conditions.
The indicator will update in real time, as intrabars composing the realtime chart bar are gradually built. The closer the realtime bar is to being closed, the more reliable the result will be, as that is when the indicator can analyze the most intrabars.
█ NOTES FOR Pine Script™ CODERS
This script uses the recently released request.security_lower_tf() Pine Script™ function discussed in this blog post . It works differently from the usual request.security() in that it can only be used at LTFs, and it returns an array containing one value per intrabar. This makes it much easier for programmers to access intrabar information.
A script can access a maximum of 100K intrabars; that is the reason we step the LTF by taking into account the chart's timeframe. By progressively increasing the LTF as the chart's timeframe increases, we provide users with optimal coverage of the chart bars. Always using a 1min LTF would, for example, limit the chart coverage to the last 69 bars on a 1D chart of a 24x7 market because each chart bar will usually contain 1440 intrabars (100K / 1440 = 69.4). By using a 30min LTF for 1D charts, we cover 100K / 48 = 2083 bars.

This Is an "Enhanced or Smoothed" version of the script that captures the heiken-ashi closing price as its main calculation variable. While using normal bar or line charts. Enhancements integrate trade filters to reduce false signals.

*ABSTRACT & CONCEPT*
TLDR - Indicator measures the change of the MacD (difference between MAC D of given EMA's) and compares it to the difference between the Upper and Lower Bollinger bands. Green bar over trigger line= entry. Red bar over trigger line = close.
Indicator plots -
Bars are the change in the MAC D and the indicator line is the difference in the BB.
When Bars are higher than the indicator line then it is considered a trend "Explosion"
Green Bars are Trend Explosion to the upside, Red Bars are Trend explosion to the downside.
GENERAL DETAIL-
the core calculation is measuring the change in MacD of current candle compared to the MacD of two previous candles.
This value is multiplied by the sensitivy so it can be compared to the change in Bollinger Band Width.
if the MACD change is positive then you get a green/lime bar for that value. If the MacDchange is negative you get a red/orange bar for that value.
and are determined by whether the actual change is increasing in that direction or decreasing. (bars getting taller or bars getting shorter)
Entry signal for long is A positive change in MACD difference (Green bar) that is greater than the change of the bollinger band (orange signal line) AND if the RSI value is above your filter.
Close signal or Trend Stop Warning Signal is given when a Negative MacD Difference (red bar) is greater than the change of the bollinger band (orange Line)
*CONSIDERATIONS AND THOUGHTS*
I have over 150 iterations of this indicator and this is the most consistent and best version of settings and filters I was able to generate. I built this indicator specifically for 3 charts. SPY monthly, QQQ monthly, BTC 3 Day. However this indicator works well on any long term bullish chart. (tech stocks are great) .
Trend trading systems are intended to be homerun hitting, plunge protecting indicators that allow for long legs and expanding volatility. This indicator does this as the trigger line is Dynamic with the expansion and contraction of the bollinger band.
I do not take every signal specifically not the close signals. Instead they more like warnings in ultra bullish environments.
If i had to pair this indicator with any other filter than the RSI, it would be a long term moving average i.e. the 50 week or equivalent for your chart. signals above rising moving averages means that you are trading with an upward trending market.

This indicator shows the effectiveness of selling or buying.
It is calculated as follows: using percentrank, the volume and the value of the spread are estimated (momentum = 1)
the resulting estimate of the volume value is divided by the estimate of the spread (momentum = 1) and thus we obtain the value. The larger it is, the more efficient and easier the price movement was.
If the indicator value is small, then this means that the movement was ineffective, because the volume (money) was invested. but no result.
The color of the volume bars is assigned as follows:
Buyers:
If the volume is large - Blue - green
If middle, then blue
Small - light blue
Sellers:
If the volume is large - Burgundy color
If middle, then purple
Small volume - light purple
Indicator parameters:
Comparison period - the period at which the volumes and spread are compared with each other - by default it is 50, selected as the most universal period suitable for different timeframes. But for daytime ones. Weekly and monthly timeframes may need to be shortened. This is true after significant spikes in volume that are exceptional over the long term.
Period spread - Bars from close to close - or in other words, it is momentum - defaults to 1
sensitivity of increased volumes - according to the percentrank indicator - the limit above which the volume will be considered large, the same as in the Volume on bar VSA - indicator V2 - for clarity, I recommend looking at it.
The default is 85, which means. that if the current value of the volume is greater than 85% of the remaining values in this period, then such a value of the volume will be considered high.
medium volume sensitivity - the same sensitivity of increased volumes but for medium volumes.
multiplier of increased volumes - this is an empirical factor to emphasize the importance of increased volumes - default = 20
multiplier of average volumes - the same. As above, but for medium volumes - the default is 10
reduced volume multiplier - Default is 1.

Comparison period (период для сравнения) – период на котором между собой сравниваются объемы и спред – по умолчанию равно 50 , выбрано как наиболее универсальный период подходящий для различных таймфреймов. Но для дневных. Недельных и месячных таймфреймов может потребоваться уменьшить период. Это актуально после значительных всплесков объемов, которые являются исключительными на длительном периоде.

This indicator calculates Volume Profile for a given range and shows it as a histogram consisting of 25 horizontal bars.
It can also show Point of Control (POC), Developing POC, Value Area/VWAP StdDev High/Low as dynamically moving levels.
Free accounts can't access Standard TradingView Volume Profile, hence this indicator.
There are 3 basic methods to calculate the Value Area for a session.
- original method developed by Steidlmayr (calculated around POC)
- classical method using StdDev (calculated around the mean VWAP)
- another method based on the mean absolute deviation (calculated around the median)
POC is a high volume node and can be used as support/resistance. But when far from the day's average price it may not be as good a trend filter as the other methods.
The 80% Rule: When the market opens above/below the Value Area and then returns/stays back inside for 2 consecutive 30min periods it has 80% chance of filling VA (like a gap).
There are several versions: Free, Free Pro, Free MAX. This is the Free Pro version. The Differences are listed below:

- flip/select anchor point to position the buy/sell levels, adjust width and spacing as needed
- select Buy/Sell/Total/Side by Side view mode
- use POC/Developing POC/VA/VWAP High/Low as S/R levels. Usually daily values from 1-3 days back are used as levels for the current day.
- Green - buy volume of a specific price level in a range, Red - sell volume. Green + Red = Total volume of a price level in a range
There's no native support for vertical histograms in Pinescript (with price axis as base)
Basically, there are 4 ways to plot a series of horizontal bars stacked on top of each other:
1. plotshape style labeldown (ver 0 prototype discarded)
- you can have a set of fixed width/height text labels consisting of a series of underscores and moving dynamically as levels. Level offset controls visible length.
- you can move levels and scale the base width of the volume profile histogram dynamically
- you can calculate the highest/lowest range values automatically. max_level/min_level inputs are optional
- you can't fill the gaps between levels/adjust/extend width, height - this results in a half baked volume profile and looks ugly
- fixed text level height doesn't adjust and looks bad on a log scale
- fixed font width also doesn't scale and can't be properly aligned with bars when zooming
2. plot style columns + hist_base (ver 1.0)
- you can plot long horizontal bars using a series of small adjacent vertical columns with level offsets controlling visible length.
- you can't hide/move levels of the volume profile histogram dynamically on each bar, they must be plotted at all times regardless - you can't delete the history of a plot.
- you can't scale the base width of the volume profile histogram dynamically, can't set show_last from input, must use a preset fixed width for each level
- hist_base can only be a static const expression, can't be assigned highest/lowest range values automatically - you have to specify max_level/min_level manually from input
- you can't control spacing between columns - there's an equalizer bar effect when you zoom in, and solid bars when you zoom out
- using hist_base for levels results in ugly load/redraw times - give it 3-5 sec to finalize its shape after each UI param change
- level top can be properly aligned with another level's bottom producing a clean good looking histogram
- columns are properly aligned with bars automatically
3. plot style histogram + hist_base (ver 2.0)
- you can plot long horizontal bars using a series of small vertical bars (horizontal histogram) instead of columns.
- you can control the width of each histogram bar comprising a level (spacing/horiz density). Large enough width will cause bar overlapping and give level a "solid" look regardless of zoom
- you can only set width <= 4 in UI Style - custom textbox input is provided for larger values. You can set width and plot transparency from input
- this method still uses hist_base and inherits other limitations of ver 2.0
4. plot style lines (ver 3.0)
- you can also plot long horizontal bars using lines with level offsets controlling visible length.
- lines don't need hist_base - fast and smooth redraw times
- you can calculate the highest/lowest range values automatically. max_level/min_level inputs are optional
- level top can't be properly aligned with another level's bottom and have a proper spacing because line width uses its own units and doesn't scale
- fixed line width of a level (vertical thickness) doesn't scale and looks bad on log (level overlapping)
- you can only set width <= 4 in UI Style, a custom textbox input is provided for larger values. You can set width and plot transparency from input
Notes:
- hist_base for levels results in ugly load/redraw times - give it 3-5 sec to finalize its shape after each UI param change
- indicator is slow on TFs with long history 10000+ bars
- Volume Profile/Value Area are calculated for a given range and updated on each bar. Each level has a fixed width. Offsets control visible level parts. Side Cover hides the invisible parts.
- Custom Color for POC/VA/VWAP levels - UI Style color/transparency can only change shape's color and doesn't affect textcolor, hence this additional option
- Custom Widh for levels - UI Style supports only width <= 4, hence this additional option
- POC is visible in both modes. In VWAP mode Developing POC becomes VWAP, VA High and Low => VWAP High and Low correspondingly to minimize the number of plot outputs
- You can't change buy/sell level colors (only plot transparency) - this requires 2x plot outputs exceeding max 64 limit. That's why 2 additional plots are used to dim the non Value Area zones
- Use Side by Side view to compare buy and sell volumes between each other: base width = max(total_buy_vol, total_sell_vol)
- All buy/sell volume lengths are calculated as % of a fixed base width = 100 bars (100%). You can't set show_last from input
- Sell Offset is calculated relative to Buy Offset to stack/extend sell on top of buy. Buy Offset = Zero - Buy Length. Sell Offset = Buy Offset - Sell Length = Zero - Buy Length - Sell Length
- If you see "loop too long error" - change some values in UI and it will recalculate - no need to refresh the chart
- There's no such thing as buy/sell volume, there's just volume, but for the purposes of the Volume Profile method, assume: bull candle = buy volume, bear candle = sell volume
- Volume Profile Range is limited to 5000 bars for free accounts

Complete Trend Trading System [Fhenry0331]This system was designed for the beginner trader to make money swing trading. Your losses will be small and your gains will be mostly large. You will show consistent profit. Period.
The system works on any security you like to trade. I used GBPUSD as an example because of the up swing and down swing it had recently. I tried to put as much information of how the system works in the chart. Hope it helps and is not to cluttered.
I will reiterate how the system works here: Everything is based off of closed price.
Legend
Uptrend: Buy
Green bar: initial start of an uptrend or uptrend continuing. Place order above that bar. If the initial bar does not stray too far from the MVWAP , I will place orders above subsequent bars if no filled occurred.
If initial start of the trend is missed, I will wait for the pullback. A pullback is a close below the MVWAP, and a close above the EMA (Low), RSI is above 50. Orders are placed above the pullback bars with plotted char "B" and also plotted green triangle up. Again orders are placed above those bars. the bars do not notate automatic buys. Don't chase anything. You will miss the initial bar on something because of news or earnings and it rocket up. Just wait, it will pullback. If it doesn't, to hell with it, on to the next.
Take profits: In the indicator you will see "T." That notates to take some profits. It is a suggestion. I was always told to take profits into spikes, as well as you can never lose money if you take profits. Up to you if you want to scale out and take the suggested profits or not.
Exit Completely: In an uptrend, close your entire position on bars colored yellow or red. (Again, closed bars)
In uptrend bars colored orange and black, do nothing, they are just pullback bars. Look for the buy pullback signal, then follow pullback buy rules for an uptrend.
Downtrend: Short
Red bar: initial start of a downtrend or downtrend continuing. Place order below the bar. If the initial bar does not stray too far fro the MVWAP, place orders below subsequent bars.
If initial start on the downtrend is missed, wait for the pullback. A pullback is a close above the MVWAP, and close below the EMA(Low). RSI is below 50. Orders are placed below the pullback bars with the plotted char "S" and also plotted red triangle. Again those bars are not automatic shorts, orders are placed below them. Don't chase anything. Wait for price to come into your plan. The idea FOMO is the stupidest thing ever, how can you miss out on something when it is always there. The market is always there and something will come into your zone. Chill.
"T": same as in uptrend, suggestion to take some profits.
Exit Completely: In a downtrend, close your entire position on bars colored orange or green.
In downtrend you will see bars colored yellow and black, do nothing, they are pullback bars. Look for the pullback short signal and follow pullback short rules.

PivotBoss Outside Reversal SetupPATTERN SUMMARY
1. The engulfing bar of a bullish outside reversal setup has a low that is below the prior bar's low (L < L ) and a
close that is above the prior bar's high (C > H ).
2. The engulfing bar of a bearish outside reversal setup has a high that is above the prior bar's high (H > H )
and a close that is below the prior bar's low (C < L ).
3. The engulfing bar is usually 5 to 25 percent larger than the size of the average bar in the lookback period.
PATTERN PSYCHOLOGY
The power behind this pattern lies in the psychology behind the traders involved in this setup. If you have
ever participated in a breakout at support or resistance only to have the market reverse sharply against you, then
you are familiar with the market dynamics of this setup. What exactly is going on at these levels? To understand
this concept is to understand the outside reversal pattern. Basically, market participants are testing the waters
above resistance or below support to make sure there is no new business to be done at these levels. When no
initiative buyers or sellers participate in range extension, responsive participants have all the information they
need to reverse price back toward a new area of perceived value.
As you look at a bullish outside reversal pattern, you will notice that the current bar's low is lower than the
prior bar's low. Essentially, the market is testing the waters below recently established lows to see if a downside
follow-through will occur. When no additional selling pressure enters the market, the result is a flood of buying
pressure that causes a springboard effect, thereby shooting price above the prior bar's highs and creating the
beginning of a bullish advance.
If you recall the child on the trampoline for a moment, you'll realize that the child had to force the bounce
mat down before he could spring into the air. Also, remember Jennifer the cake baker? She initially pushed price
to $20 per cake, which sent a flood of orders into her shop. The flood of buying pressure eventually sent the price
of her cakes to $35 apiece. Basically, price had to test the $20 level before it could rise to $35.
Let's analyze the outside reversal setup in a different light for a moment. One of the reasons I like this setup
is because the two-bar pattern reduces into the wick reversal setup, which we covered earlier in the chapter. If
you are not familiar with candlestick reduction, the idea is simple. You are taking the price data over two or more
candlesticks and combining them to create a single candlestick. Therefore, you will be taking the open, high, low,
and close prices of the bars in question to create a single composite candlestick.
Take a look at Figure 2.13, which illustrates the candlestick reduction of the outside reversal setup.
Essentially, taking the highest high and the lowest low over the two-bar period gives you the range of the
composite candlestick. Then, taking the opening price of the first candle and the closing price of the last candle
will finish off the composite candlestick. Depending on the structure of the bars of the outside reversal setup, the
result of the candlestick reduction will usually be the transformation into a wick reversal setup, which we know to
be quite powerful. Therefore, in many cases the physiology of the outside reversal pattern basically demonstrates
the inherent psychological traits of the wick reversal pattern. This is just another level of analysis that reinforces
my belief in the outside reversal setup.

Expected Move BandsExpected move is the amount that an asset is predicted to increase or decrease from its current price, based on the current levels of volatility.
In this model, we assume asset price follows a log-normal distribution and the log return follows a normal distribution.
Note: Normal distribution is just an assumption, it's not the real distribution of return
Settings:
"Estimation Period Selection" is for selecting the period we want to construct the prediction interval.
For "Current Bar", the interval is calculated based on the data of the previous bar close. Therefore changes in the current price will have little effect on the range. What current bar means is that the estimated range is for when this bar close. E.g., If the Timeframe on 4 hours and 1 hour has passed, the interval is for how much time this bar has left, in this case, 3 hours.
For "Future Bars", the interval is calculated based on the current close. Therefore the range will be very much affected by the change in the current price. If the current price moves up, the range will also move up, vice versa. Future Bars is estimating the range for the period at least one bar ahead.
There are also other source selections based on high low.
Time setting is used when "Future Bars" is chosen for the period. The value in time means how many bars ahead of the current bar the range is estimating. When time = 1, it means the interval is constructing for 1 bar head. E.g., If the timeframe is on 4 hours, then it's estimating the next 4 hours range no matter how much time has passed in the current bar.
Note: It's probably better to use "probability cone" for visual presentation when time > 1
Volatility Models :
Sample SD: traditional sample standard deviation, most commonly used, use (n-1) period to adjust the bias
Parkinson: Uses High/ Low to estimate volatility, assumes continuous no gap, zero mean no drift, 5 times more efficient than Close to Close
Garman Klass: Uses OHLC volatility, zero drift, no jumps, about 7 times more efficient
Yangzhang Garman Klass Extension: Added jump calculation in Garman Klass, has the same value as Garman Klass on markets with no gaps.

EWMA: Exponentially Weighted Volatility. Weight recently volatility more, more reactive volatility better in taking account of volatility autocorrelation and cluster.
YangZhang: Uses OHLC, combines Rogers and Garmand Klass, handles both drift and jump, 14 times efficient, alpha is the constant to weight rogers volatility to minimize variance.
Median absolute deviation: It's a more direct way of measuring volatility. It measures volatility without using Standard deviation. The MAD used here is adjusted to be an unbiased estimator.
Volatility Period is the sample size for variance estimation. A longer period makes the estimation range more stable less reactive to recent price. Distribution is more significant on a larger sample size. A short period makes the range more responsive to recent price. Might be better for high volatility clusters.
Standard deviations:
Standard Deviation One shows the estimated range where the closing price will be about 68% of the time.
Standard Deviation two shows the estimated range where the closing price will be about 95% of the time.
Standard Deviation three shows the estimated range where the closing price will be about 99.7% of the time.
Note: All these probabilities are based on the normal distribution assumption for returns. It's the estimated probability, not the actual probability.
Manually Entered Standard Deviation shows the range of any entered standard deviation. The probability of that range will be presented on the panel.
People usually assume the mean of returns to be zero. To be more accurate, we can consider the drift in price from calculating the geometric mean of returns. Drift happens in the long run, so short lookback periods are not recommended. Assuming zero mean is recommended when time is not greater than 1.
When we are estimating the future range for time > 1, we typically assume constant volatility and the returns to be independent and identically distributed. We scale the volatility in term of time to get future range. However, when there's autocorrelation in returns( when returns are not independent), the assumption fails to take account of this effect. Volatility scaled with autocorrelation is required when returns are not iid. We use an AR(1) model to scale the first-order autocorrelation to adjust the effect. Returns typically don't have significant autocorrelation. Adjustment for autocorrelation is not usually needed. A long length is recommended in Autocorrelation calculation.
Note: The significance of autocorrelation can be checked on an ACF indicator.
ACF
The multimeframe option enables people to use higher period expected move on the lower time frame. People should only use time frame higher than the current time frame for the input. An error warning will appear when input Tf is lower. The input format is multiplier * time unit. E.g. : 1D
Unit: M for months, W for Weeks, D for Days, integers with no unit for minutes (E.g. 240 = 240 minutes). S for Seconds.
Smoothing option is using a filter to smooth out the range. The filter used here is John Ehler's supersmoother. It's an advance smoothing technique that gets rid of aliasing noise. It affects is similar to a simple moving average with half the lookback length but smoother and has less lag.
Note: The range here after smooth no long represent the probability
Panel positions can be adjusted in the settings.
X position adjusts the horizontal position of the panel. Higher X moves panel to the right and lower X moves panel to the left.
Y position adjusts the vertical position of the panel. Higher Y moves panel up and lower Y moves panel down.
Step line display changes the style of the bands from line to step line. Step line is recommended because it gets rid of the directional bias of slope of expected move when displaying the bands.
Warnings:
People should not blindly trust the probability. They should be aware of the risk evolves by using the normal distribution assumption. The real return has skewness and high kurtosis. While skewness is not very significant, the high kurtosis should be noticed. The Real returns have much fatter tails than the normal distribution, which also makes the peak higher. This property makes the tail ranges such as range more than 2SD highly underestimate the actual range and the body such as 1 SD slightly overestimate the actual range. For ranges more than 2SD, people shouldn't trust them. They should beware of extreme events in the tails.
Different volatility models provide different properties if people are interested in the accuracy and the fit of expected move, they can try expected move occurrence indicator. (The result also demonstrate the previous point about the drawback of using normal distribution assumption).
Expected move Occurrence Test
The prediction interval is only for the closing price, not wicks. It only estimates the probability of the price closing at this level, not in between. E.g., If 1 SD range is 100 - 200, the price can go to 80 or 230 intrabar, but if the bar close within 100 - 200 in the end. It's still considered a 68% one standard deviation move.

Morning ORB FVG Trigger is a complete intraday trading framework built around:
A Morning Opening Range Breakout (ORB)
The first Fair Value Gap (FVG) after that breakout
Strict risk management and position sizing
Optional HTF trend filter (Daily / Weekly / Monthly)

Define a morning opening range (e.g. 09:30–09:45).
Wait for a clean breakout above/below that range.
After the breakout, wait for the first FVG in breakout direction,
confirmed by the next candle (no immediate full reclaim).
Use a chosen stop logic + R:R factor to build risk/reward boxes.
Calculate position size based on your account risk.
(Optional) Only take trades:
In the direction of the HTF EMA trend (D/W/M).
On days where the morning range is within a band of the Daily ATR.

Uses a LuxAlgo-style 3-candle FVG pattern (gap between candle 1 and 3).
Only one FVG is taken: the first valid FVG after the ORB breakout in breakup direction.
The FVG candle is the middle bar; the script:
Detects the FVG on the previous bar.
Waits for the current bar to confirm it:
Bullish: current low must stay above the lower FVG boundary
Bearish: current high must stay below the upper FVG boundary
Only then an entry signal is generated.

K-Means Iterative Refinement
The algorithm repeats these steps:
(A) Assignment Step, Each bar is assigned to the nearest centroid via Euclidean distance in 4D:

(B) Update Step, Centroids update to the mean of points assigned to them. This repeats iterations times (configurable).
LIVE REGIME CLASSIFICATION
After training, each new bar is:
Standardized using the training mean/std
Compared to all centroids
Assigned to the nearest cluster
Bar color updates based on cluster
No re-training occurs. This ensures:
No lookahead bias
Clean historical testing
Stable regimes over time
CLUSTER BEHAVIOR & TRADING LOGIC
Clusters (0, 1, 2, 3…) hold no inherent meaning. The user defines what each cluster does.
Example of custom actions:
Cluster 0 → Cash
Cluster 1 → Long
Cluster 2 → Short
Cluster 3+ → Cash (noise regime)
This flexibility means:
One trader might have cluster 0 as consolidation.
Another might repurpose it as a breakout-loading zone.
A third might ignore 3 clusters entirely.

## Summary
- Plots higher‑timeframe Fair Value Gap (FVG) zones directly on your current chart.
- Tracks fill progress using four methods: Any Touch, Midpoint Reached, Wick Sweep, Body Beyond.
- Shows optional labels with timeframe source and live fill percentage; label text color is configurable.
- Designed for clean overlays and efficient rendering with limits on graphics and bars processed.
## What It Does
- Detects bullish and bearish FVGs from a chosen timeframe (or the chart timeframe) and renders:
- Zone Top/Bottom lines and a dotted midpoint line
- Semi‑transparent area fill between the edges
- Optional label at the midpoint with a tooltip showing zone prices
- Continuously updates zones forward and removes them when the selected fill condition is met.
## Inputs
- `Enable FVG` (`fvgSH2`): Toggle detection/plotting on/off.
- `Timeframe` (`fvgTF2`): Choose `Chart` or HTFs (`5 Minutes`, `15 Minutes`, `1 Hour`, `4 Hours`, `1 Day`, `1 Week`, `1 Month`).
- `Fill Method` (`fvgFill2`):
- Any Touch — wick or body touches any part of the zone
- Midpoint Reached — price reaches at least the 50% of the zone
- Wick Sweep — wick fully travels past the far edge and back inside (conceptually stricter than touch)
- Body Beyond — candle body closes beyond the opposite edge (strong confirmation)
- `Zones` colors (`fvgCb2`, `fvgCs2`): Bullish/Bearish zone colors.
- `Labels` (`fvgLB2`): Show/Hide on‑chart labels.
- `Label Color` (`fvgLBc2`): Color picker for label text (default: white).
- `Max Bars Back` (`maxBars2`): Limits processing to recent bars for performance.
## Timeframe Rules
- The helper `htfTF` prevents selecting a timeframe lower than the chart. If an invalid lower TF is chosen, it falls back to `timeframe.period`.
- Supports minute, daily, weekly, and monthly aggregations that are safe for intraday/daily/weekly charts.
## Detection Logic
- Uses rolling higher‑timeframe bars constructed on the fly and checks 3‑bar displacement patterns:
- Bullish FVG: current HTF low above the high two bars ago AND previous HTF close above that high, with no direct gap condition.
- Bearish FVG: current HTF high below the low two bars ago AND previous HTF close below that low, with no direct gap condition.
- On detection, the script creates an FVG object with:
- Top/Bottom lines (`lnTop`, `lnBtm`) and midpoint line (`lnAvg`)
- Midpoint label (`lbTxt`) showing source timeframe and updating fill percentage
- Semi‑transparent fill (`linefill`) for visual clarity
## Fill Tracking
- Fill threshold depends on selected method:
- Any Touch: opposite edge
- Midpoint Reached: zone’s midpoint
- Wick Sweep: stricter condition conceptually (implemented as an opposite‑edge threshold)
- Body Beyond: requires close beyond the opposite edge
- Each bar updates label x‑position and line endpoints forward; the label text shows the best fill ratio achieved.
- When the threshold is reached, the FVG (label, lines, fill) is removed from the chart.
## Best Practices
- Start with `Any Touch` to visualize broad repairs; switch to `Body Beyond` for conservative confirmations.
- Use `1 Hour` or `4 Hours` overlays on 5m–15m charts for context; `1 Day` on 1H charts; `1 Week` on daily charts.
- Keep labels on when monitoring fills intraday; hide labels for clean higher‑level context.
- Adjust `Max Bars Back` if performance is impacted by many zones.
## Repainting Notes
- HTF zones are computed on `timeframe.change(tf)` and therefore confirm on HTF bar closes.
- Label endpoints extend each bar; detection itself avoids lookahead bias. For strict confirmation, align entries with HTF closes.
## Limitations
- “Wick Sweep” is treated as a stricter touch to the far edge; it does not enforce a separate “return inside” bar state.
- Label text color applies uniformly to bull/bear labels. If you need separate colors per side, contact the author.
