B3 Weeklies - Pivot S/RBy request, some more of the levels that I like to see. I find that this works well on gold and crude oil the best. Stocks and ETF's sometimes have weird bars in after hours, and this sometimes destroys the week's levels. Any non liquid jump and back bars will likely not be tolerated by the study and ruin its data. The indexes sometimes work, but I find that the other pivot study I released is better for index futures. Forex hasn't been tested on this particular pivot study as of yet. Feel free to comment with your experiences using this with currencies.
This one is designed to show you your current week's action versus last week's action. Fibonacci levels are drawn from the range created by the week before, then offset from pivot HLC/3. These do not reprint so you can trust them to remain the same straight away from Sunday night into Friday's close. On other platforms I can get the next week in future to print as well, showing you where the next week trade levels on Friday before. Maybe I can figure out how to make pinescript print in the right extension, haven't got there yet.
Pretty good selection in 12 days of being a member though, so I am psyched how well this is going in TradingView, learnin' more language all the time. Feel free to leave some feedback, and happy to answer any questions. ~B3

B3 ALMA PendulumB3 Pendulums, quick little indicators that do change print inside the current bar, so beware. It is good for anticipation, but it is important to make sure the current and next bars follow through.
Ever wanted an indicator that really points out the micro term action in the form of a pendulum swing? This my attempt to show the market ups and downs in the smallest amount of lag possible. This indicator is designed to bounce back and forth from 100 to -100 as it shows you the price's relationship to ALMA. Really its just a simple deviance from mean study made to amplify the quick ups and downs, and kind of the neatest on Heikin Ashi setups. It looks like Arabic language at first glance, lol.
This should be easy to template out to your own MA's. ~I hope you are enjoying the B3 scripts, that is now 9 open source shares and a couple protected ones. I still plan on a few more give-a-ways, as I prepare some of the algorithmic things I do for subscription. Feel free to comment about things you would like to see! ~B3
B3 Awesome Oscillator IIThe Awesome Oscillator is a simple average of the HL2 mean done at length 5 and 34 and taking the difference of the two. The Elliot Wave Oscillator is similar to this as well. What I have done is make my own version AO-II for my tastes. I use DTI a bunch and when range contracts and trends aren't solid, a more responsive indicator is needed, and that is where AO-II comes in. Then in some chop or even in a slow rolling trend, they both suffer as you can see in the middle of the chart above. But in general, AO-II is the jitterier little cousin.
In this modification of a standard, I have added a (code-protected) derivative to the mix that will help bring the oscillator back to zero more often than its momentum measuring counterparts. The offset is set to 1 by default meaning it will not change in the current bar as it moves along. This also makes all the crosses appear late in history, but you will notice that the signal crossings are all still fairly lag free.
Much like in DTI, in AO-II you should note the slope and relation to zero. Divergences can be seen in AO-II, and depending on the action it can be wrong, so careful there. I think the idea behind most momentum indicators is to look for entry on overages in direction that might be looking to correct or reverse. Then once in the trade going the correct way with your indicator you stay the course till indicator tells you to exit.
B3 Directional Trend IndexB3 Directional Trend Index ~ All about the trend! William Blau is the designer of this gem, and IMHO it is the best trend finder of all the lagging indicators out there I have tested. It is important to pay attention to the slope and thickness of the line, and its relationship to zero. A reversion to the zero may look momentous, but in fact it could reverse when it reaches mean, only to turn back around. You can see this in March and April of this silver futures daily chart. Makes for a great instrument on anything you consider trendy, like crude oil for example. The default user inputs are set to my liking, as I find them to be great on all charts and resolutions. You may read around to find more about this on the internet, or its mentioned in Krausz's work. Also, imprtant to remember when no trend, trend finders like this sufffer, so be wise as to what market condition you are in. Rangy and within Range = no, On the Move = yes.
B3 ECOBlau's Ergodic Candlestick Oscillator = a decent trend finder, however slightly lagged. It can help you to see a reversal entry if you are looking for one. I find the one line ECO hard to use, so I have created this histogram version with a signal line. The colors help to show you whats going on with the ECO and its bias. This indicator shows up in a couple books by people other than Blau, and namely by Krausz. You can also see divergences, for example in pic above the lower or second of the two green humps showing that the general uptrend might be weakened as this run contained less momentum. Tighten up the signal line to see a faster change in its color. These settings are the B3 input settings for default, meaning the ones I use in trading. They are not however the default values you might read about other places.
B3 Buyer-Seller BreakoutsB3 Buyer-Seller Breakouts = If a bar is showing that it is moving in a direction with highs lows and close, all of which are >respectively< moving against the open from the bar before, then it prints indicating buyers or sellers bringing momentum. The arrows and cloud carry into the next bar to give lots of awareness of the micro-term momentum. The cloud represents the better price range from which to add to a position.
This study repaints within the bar, most of my indicators do not, but this one is about timing to get an edge on adding to your already in play position, becoming part of the needed momentum to hit profit targets faster. Also, this theory helps you add to winners, and if you never add to losers, you now have statistical odds in your favor. I got the idea for the study reading about turtle trader method and how that statistical edge is really why it works, always adding on every breakout. Keep in mind that I never buy or sell breakouts to initiate trades, only to scale in.

B3 Bar Cycle MTF (fix)Apologies, there was an error in printing for the thick gray boxes, happened when MTF was switched on. All better, and here is the details from before:
This is an interesting study that can be used as a tool for determining trend direction, and also could be a trailing stop setter. I use it as a gauge on MTF settings. If on, you can look at the bar cycle of the 1h while on the 15m giving you a lot of information in one tool. If a line is missing high or low, it is because it was broken, if both exist you are trading in range and cloud appears. If both sides break you get thick gray boxes above and below bar.
Get used to editing the inputs to suit your liking. Often 3-5 length and always looking at different resolutions to get a big picture story. You could put multiple instances of the study up to see them simultaneously. I based the idea off of Krausz's 3 day cycle which you can read about in his teachings. I tend to find it looking better using Heikin Ashi bar-style.

For showing a 2nd resolution on one chart; Not much more to say about that :)
B3 EMA EntriesB3 EMA Entries = B3 EMA Ribbon "Trader"
This study takes the B3 EMA Ribbon and builds trade entries from it. The clouds represent the deviation from entry points; orange equals weakening or undetermined trend. Manage your own exits, and if you have a large deviation cloud in comparison to prior clouds.... take them profits!
Here also is a glimpse into my proprietary scripting that I will likely offer for a subscription at some point. Many simpler freebies like this share to come first of course! I will give away most simple indicators, but there are a few sub-chassis things I use, which I developed myself. One of which is indicator back testing, where I see all of the strategy's history information from the indicator on the chart. Sans trade-ticket automation, this voids the need for a strategy file or A.P.I. or backtesting devices (however, I plan to adapt things to TradingView's strategy system if I can, so that automation can take place). As well as this algorithmic trading system chassis, I also have a specialized statistical output chassis and another few graphical depiction sets.
For this share, you should manage your own exits, (you could simply use the orange clouds as an exit.) This is my most simple of the "indicator traders" I call them. The more intricate algorithmic trading indicators I make have the full trading package down to the risk to reward, entry, target, stop, and trail. The statistical systems are pretty unique, and I haven't seen many doing what I do on that front yet, so I am excited to get those out to more people. Look for these subscriptions in the near future, but as a token of introduction enjoy my next several free shares too.
Cheers, and good trades to you. ~B3
B3 Fibonacci Pivot S/RFor my second share, I give you some levels I look at everyday for the ES minis. HLC/3 of the MTF (multi-time-frame) inputs = mean and Fib-levels formed as support and resistance zones. There are some websites that will show you 20 ways to figure out a pivot for the day's intraday workings, and this one always rang true for me. I keep it set at Res=D and Len=3or5 and use on hourly charts. This indicator is capable of doing like a Res=60m Len=8 for a 5m chart or something of that nature if you wish to test it out.
I haven't tested it out for tick charts and I have noticed that this is good on index and commodity futures, and not so much other things.
Uncanny to me how well this works as reversal awareness for ES. Doesn't mean that one will happen, or if it does that it will have trade-able juice, though it is very important awareness never-the-less.

B3 EMA RibbonAs a person versed in other languages of script, I am sharing my first pinescript. I have just thrown together some EMA lines and testing out the fill() function. I have some 400+ indicators I could make and share, so cheers to many more! As I get more versed in the language, I will make more intricate studies based on high math and sound strategy.
