Initial short in hindsight was a poor trade, with the trade war discussion still ongoing the swing to precious metals proved a key driver for price which I didn't pay enough attention to.
I need to be more selective with trades and not try to see things in the market that just aren't there. The volume of trades taken also doesn't have to be anywhere near where it is currently. My aim should be to find the most profitable set-ups and not feeling a need to be in the market, this is driving me to take more trades than I should some of which are poor quality and causing unnecessary losses.
I've had a string of losing trades after an alright run and need to ensure I learn from this as of recent times I've forgotten if anything the losing streaks (probably trying to clear it from my mind if anything) and instead learn from them. Other things have been distracting me causing less focus while still trying to trade as much if not more than previously which I can confirm (as anyone that's not a moron would already know) that doesn't work.
Swing trades are considerably more profitable for me in terms of % gains compared to day trades and I need to work on this to improve shorter term trades while during this time having more of a focus on swing trade set-ups.
