The relative strength index (RSI) is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis. RSI measures the speed and magnitude of a security's recent price changes to detect overbought or oversold conditions in the price of that security. The RSI is displayed as an oscillator (a line graph) on a scale of zero to 100.
The most commonly used RSI thresholds are 30 and 70. An RSI above 70 suggests a stock might be overbought, indicating a potential sell signal. Conversely, an RSI below 30 implies a stock might be oversold, presenting a possible buying opportunity
