DO REALIZE: What was mentioned here about monitoring and protecting positions mainly referred to one opening a long position with the intent to keep it open for quite a while. If that's you, that's what this video referred to.

HOWEVER, there are MORE things one can do (AS A DAY TRADER) to hedge positions. Meaning, there will be times we open a short at a higher price level than a long we opened at a lower price level. I'll go into more detail on this in the future.
