VIX futures consolidation period

I think VIX futures either consolidate for a period before breaking out again or gets crushed lower so SPY can go higher.
Nota
Idea shows consolidation period, but I can see price breaking 12.41 to the downside and make new lows as well.

Contract swap messed up the TA, but the idea remains the same.
