The market was too optimistic about Brexit after May's deal was rejected by the parliament but defeated Corbin. It seems more likely that article 50 will be extended or that a second referendum will be held than hard Brexit.
However, May has refused Corbin's precondition that rule out the no-deal Brexit. Actually, EU,Germany,France and Britain are preparing for a no-deal Brexit. The political impasse will last the whole Jan at least.
On technical, the sterling is losing motivation to climb. It'll test 1.27 soon maybe.
