$GBPEUR - Was Short of the Century

GBPEUR There's no question that Sterling has lost a lot of it's value this past year against most crosses, but when measured since 2000 against the out of favour Euro, it's quite evident that there is something bigger going on here. The 2008 financial crisis was an attempt to breath life into this waning pair, only to see it short lived by last year's Brexit. Failure to come up with another financial paperover strategy like the one we saw in 2009, could see Sterling reaching parity against the Euro in time. Keep in mind this analysis is a long term view and I can only see the Euro continuing it's appreciation against Sterling.
