COSTCO (one of the largest retailers on earth)
This is a review mostly of the P/S and P/E ratio.
PE Ratio Seems to be very high...? this maybe a sign that the price of food needs to go up?
BASIC RETAIL FACTS?:
The total size of retail on earth is about $20 trillion dollars (my personal estimate)
(based on an global economy stated by the world bank at $85 trillion?)
Costco has had several important times in its recent history including a major revaluation of "price to sales" ratio from .6 to .8. this means that the sales has been stable but the price of the stock and market capitalization has gone up?
In general the coronavirus hasn't hurt retail as much as people expected because it hasn't effected food as an "essential business" about 7 of the top 10 largest retailers on earth are "foods" related.
