CAC 40 Edged Up 0.3% on Wednesday

The CAC 40 index rose about 0.3% to the 7,590 level on Wednesday, tracking its European peers higher, fueled by growing optimism regarding major central banks potentially implementing interest rate cuts in the coming year. Among single stocks, Alstom (+2.5%), Teleperformance SE (+1.2%), STMicroelectronics (+0.9%) and Société Générale (+0.8%) were the top performers.

Other banking stocks, such as BNP Paribas (+0.4%) and Crédit Agricole (+0.1%) were also in the green. Conversely, Orange (-0.6%) and Carrefour (-0.4%) led the losses.
