OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is seeking nearly $100 million in funding for the Worldcoin cryptocurrency project, which is in advanced talks to launch in the next few weeks, according to three people familiar with the matter. Previous investors in the company include cryptocurrency funds from Khosla Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz, as well as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and internet entrepreneur Reid Hoffman, one of the people said.
