AI Copilot usage limit

Your AI add-on comes with a monthly usage limit. This page explains how the limit works and what happens when you reach it.

How the limit works

• The limit is shown as a percentage — a donut and a progress bar in AI Copilot and in your settings. You won't see raw numbers.
• It's sensitive to each request: after your first request of the month, the indicator moves from 100% to 99%.
• The limit is fixed for the month, and most people won't reach it.
• Unused usage doesn't carry over — anything left at the end of the month doesn't roll into the next one.
• The limit resets once a month, when your add-on renews successfully.

The indicator shows "Renews on " while auto-renewal is on, and "Expires on " if you've turned auto-renewal off. Hovering it shows the same percentage, never an absolute figure.

When you reach the limit

If you use up the monthly limit, AI Copilot pauses new requests and shows when it'll be available again:

• You'll see the message "Your usage limit will reset at the start of the next billing cycle", along with the reset date.
• There's no way to buy more usage, upgrade, or top up — the limit simply resets on the date shown.
• You can still send feedback while you wait.

Your usage becomes available again automatically at the start of the next billing cycle.

Copilot tokens usage

A specific number of tokens is allocated each month. All subscription plans include the same token allowance.

Every request consumes tokens, with Pine Script writing and complex analytics consuming the most. The longer a request takes to process, the more tokens it uses.

Once your tokens (usage) are exhausted, you will need to wait until the start of the next month. We are currently working on a feature that will allow you to purchase additional tokens without waiting for the month to end.

Tokens are consumed under standard rules for all requests, except for Pine Script writing. Pine Script requests utilize higher-cost models to deliver the required output quality.
